Description
Sunbathing is part of the everyday beach culture repeatedly shown across GTA 6's Vice City and Vice Beach footage. The Extended Look activity coverage includes sunbathing among smaller leisure interactions, while Trailer 1 famously presents crowded beaches filled with people lying on towels, exercising, swimming and socializing. The activity helps make the coastline feel like a lived-in destination rather than empty scenery between missions.
Earlier Grand Theft Auto games featured beachgoers and lounging NPCs but rarely turned sunbathing into a notable player pastime. GTA VI's broader lifestyle focus — including eating, exercising, sleeping, social activities and physical appearance — makes even simple downtime more relevant to the protagonists' lives.
Public footage does not yet show a clear sunbathing HUD, timer, tan mechanic or stat effect for Jason or Lucia. Sunbathing is clearly part of Leonida's beach culture, but Rockstar has not yet shown whether Jason or Lucia can deliberately start the activity, gain a tan, pass time or receive any gameplay effect from it.
