GTA 6 May Feature Fully Functional Airlines and Airports

Published on 7/14/2025

As fans continue to analyze every second of Rockstar’s GTA 6 trailer and data leaks, one detail gaining attention is the surprising level of activity around airports and aircraft. From what’s been spotted so far, it looks like GTA 6 could take air travel to a whole new level—offering more than just casual plane flying, and possibly introducing functional airlines and detailed airport gameplay.

In several scenes, players have noticed airport terminals filled with NPCs, parked commercial aircraft, and even service vehicles moving on the tarmac—far more detail than we’ve seen in previous games. One insider leak suggests that some missions may begin or end inside airport lounges or hangars, pointing to an expanded use of aviation as part of the narrative and side activities.

Moreover, there are rumors circulating that players might be able to manage small air freight businesses, similar to the cargo missions from GTA Online but with more realism and scheduling dynamics. Leaked interface icons even hint at boarding systems, air routes, and flight delays, suggesting deeper mechanics for those interested in running operations in the skies.

While aircraft have always been part of GTA's sandbox, from helicopters in GTA Vice City to jets in GTA V, they’ve typically been used just for transportation or chaos. In GTA 6, however, flying may become more integrated into the economy and storyline of the game, offering new layers of strategy and immersion.

Rockstar has not confirmed any of these features yet, but the signs point to air travel becoming more than just a means of getting from A to B. If true, it could be one of the most significant expansions of gameplay systems in the franchise’s history.
